Rebekah Easton-Hogg

Roots

I was raised on a tobacco/beef farm in rural northern ky in a town called Napoleon. I grew up feeling very supported by my family and had the added benefit of kind grandparents. There was not much thought to preventive care and mostly illnesses were handled “as they came up”. Mental health and especially mental illness was stigmatized just as it continues to be today. Unfortunately, folks with mental illness were seen as outliers. This very well may have been the impetus for seeking the healthcare roles that I have chosen along my lifepath.

Balance

I’m still learning how to attain life balance but I do feel that I recognize the deep need for this as I wear a few hats throughout my days. Working out with a good friend almost daily, playing with my dog Pepper, and keeping a running grateful list are ways that create balance in my life. Walking in the woods always bring some calm to me as well. I am a compassionate and curious soul who is a lifelong learner and so I enjoy reading health science updates and juvenile fiction.

Education & Training

I graduated from Berea College with a Women and Gender Studies major which provided the critical thinking scaffolding that took me to my first job as a domestic violence advocate in the Fayette County Court system. My second career as a registered nurse and then nurse practitioner allowed me to work in a variety of practice settings. As a new nurse, I worked with patients who had blood cancers and were receiving bone marrow transplants. Later, I transitioned into the provider role as a family nurse practitioner, where I saw well babies, helped women with family planning and routine screenings, treated STI’s, helped people with diabetes, HTN, osteoarthritis, autoimmune diseases manage their illness with treatment plans that included medicine, lifestyle edits, and prevention. So much of the care that I was providing to the patients that I was seeing for all types of concerns often carried a mental health component that I incorporated into their care plan. I soon realized that I wanted to seek out more specialization. I’m now a board-certified psychiatric NP as well as family NP.

Edd Easton-Hogg

Roots

I am a native of Kentucky, with a career focus in the Eastern Kentucky region where I grew up.  My family taught me to treat people with respect and listen to their stories.

Balance

Running provides me significant benefits and has always been my fall back for mental/emotional health.  Parenting and taking my kids on adventures is another treasure.  I hope to travel to more countries and experience more cultures.

Education & Training

I went to Berea College and learned about families in the Child and Family Studies department. Asbury Theological Seminary was next, completing a masters of arts in Counseling.  Following a few years of work, I entered Spalding University for a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (2013). Since, I have taught at universities, served on professional association boards, supervised master level providers, ran a private practice, conducted court evaluations, worked with schools, rural clinic service, and operated a community engagement initiative.

Allisson Willoughby

Roots

I was born in Hollywood, Florida, and raised in Kentucky. While I’ve called several places in Kentucky ‘home,’ Richmond holds a special place in my heart, and I will always cherish the friendships I’ve made here. I deeply value my relationships, and my family has shown me the importance of being present in the moment. Rooted in gratitude, I strive never to take anything for granted.

Balance

Balancing my life is deeply rooted in my faith, which provides me with a solid foundation. Beyond my spiritual beliefs, I embrace many gifts, including love, joy, peace, and creativity. I find great fulfillment in sharing these gifts with others through food, song, dance, games, and cherished moments of fellowship. At home, I have a cat named Biscuit, who is truly the most beautiful kitty in the world. She’s even traveled across state lines with me!

Education & Training

I began my education at Northern Kentucky University before completing my Associate’s degree in Information Management and Design at Bluegrass Community and Technical College. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to design websites, create restaurant menus, generate online sales through network marketing, and assist with graphic design projects for local businesses throughout Madison County. I’ve discovered that my greatest fulfillment comes from using my skills to genuinely help others. As Rebekah’s office manager, I get to do just that. I oversee our social media presence and manage all electronic patient communications, ensuring that our patients receive the care they need through active listening and by fostering a welcoming, compassionate environment.

Our Roots

Rebekah Easton-Hogg acquired the practice from Dr. Stephen Cox and has taken over continuity of care for his patients. Dr. Cox recently retired after nearly 50 years of service. He is also the founder of the National Anxiety Foundation.

Delissa

Roots

I grew up in Frankfort, Kentucky where I was taught the importance of treating others the way you would wish to be treated and to always be kind and helpful to others.  I moved to Berea in 1996 to attend Berea College and have found a love for my community and for the people here.  I consider Berea to be “Home Sweet Home”.

Balance

I find peace and happiness in spending time with my family and friends. I love spending time adventuring with my three daughters and walking outdoors.

Education & Training

I graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in industrial and organizational psychology.  My background in psychology and in human resources has prepared me and given me a passion for helping the people of our community.  I am fortunate to put this to use in my position at Nightingale Healthcare.

Jill Angelle

Roots

I was born in Indiana, but I have a lot family in Kentucky. My parents brought me here before I
can even remember. It seemed only natural that I would make Kentucky my home. While
attending college I worked in Berea for one year and was in the Art Accelerator program for a
year. I knew then I wanted to live in Berea. My decision was based on the fact that many of
the people I met were so welcoming, there were so many different events going on in town
through the whole year, and so many inspiring artists.

Balance

My children are my hope and love. Because of them I feel confident, strong, and creative. My energy comes from those I have come to know and from meeting new people. I am more of a helper and love to create. I like to be involved in activities when I can, but being a Libra I also like to balance out my energy with being at home.

Education and Training

I graduated from Somerset Community College with an Associate of Arts, achieved my minor in painting at Western University, and received a Bachelor of Arts through Eastern Kentucky University. I have the wonderful opportunity to be working for Dr. Edd Easton-Hogg and Nightingale Behavioral Health, for which I am grateful. My education, my travels, and
experience in the clerical field is what I am able to give to them and this position.
